Second-hand goods
Shipitall sellers may list used, open-box and refurbished items. Second-hand goods are covered by the same law as new goods, and this page explains what that means on Shipitall.
Condition grades
Every used item has one of these grades:
- Open box: Unused or hardly used, box opened, with all original parts and accessories.
- Like new: No visible wear, fully working, all original parts.
- Good: Light signs of use visible up close, fully working.
- Fair: Clear wear such as scratches or dents, fully working.
- For parts: Not working or incomplete; sold for repair or parts only.
Faults must be listed
Sellers must describe the item honestly, show real photos and list every fault they know of in the “Condition and faults” box on the listing. An item that is worse than its grade or description counts as “not as described”, and you can return it at the seller’s cost.
Your 6-month warranty still applies
- Used items carry the same warranty on faults as new items: 183 days (at least 6 months, as the law requires), plus any extra warranty the seller gives.
- The only exception is a fault the seller clearly listed before you bought: you accepted that fault.
- Cooling-off (7 days) and change-of-mind returns (30 days) apply to used items too. See our Returns and refunds policy.
No “voetstoots”
Sellers may not sell used items “voetstoots”, “as is”, with “no returns” or with less than 6 months’ warranty. We remove listings that say so.
“For parts” items
“For parts” means the item does not work or is incomplete, and is sold for repair or spare parts. You accept that it does not work as a whole. It must still be what the listing describes, with the parts shown and listed.
Phones
- A seller must enter a used phone’s IMEI number. We check it against the stolen-phone register before the listing goes live. Buyers never see the number.
- Sellers confirm they own each used item and have removed their personal data and accounts from it.
