  • Seller information (for sellers): business details, identity information, and banking details for payouts.
  • Technical information: device, browser, IP address, and usage data collected through cookies and similar technologies.

3. Why we process it and on what basis

We process your personal information to:

  • create and manage your account;
  • process orders, payments, deliveries, and returns;
  • route orders to the relevant seller so they can fulfil and deliver them;
  • provide support and respond to your queries;
  • keep the marketplace safe and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • comply with our legal obligations, including tax and record-keeping; and
  • with your consent, send you marketing about products and offers.

We rely on the lawful bases recognised in POPIA, including performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests, compliance with the law, and your consent where required.

4. Sharing your information

  • Sellers: when you buy an item, we share the information the seller needs to fulfil and deliver your order (such as your name and delivery address). Sellers may use this information only to fulfil your order.
  • Service providers: payment processors, couriers, hosting, and communication providers who process information on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
  • Legal: where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cross-border transfers

Where personal information is processed outside South Africa (for example by a cloud provider), we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected on a basis permitted by section 72 of POPIA.

Under POPIA you have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction or deletion of your personal information;
  • object to processing in certain circumstances;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
  • lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

9. Cookies
