Common questions
Orders and delivery
Who sends my order?
Every seller on Shipitall ships straight to you. If your cart has items from more than one seller, you get one delivery from each, and checkout shows how many to expect.
How long does delivery take?
Sellers must send your parcel within 3 working days. Checkout shows each courier's delivery time. You get the tracking link by email as soon as it is sent.
Can I collect from a locker or a PEP store?
Yes, when the seller offers it. Choose a PUDO locker, a Pargo point or a Paxi PEP store at checkout.
What is Extra courier cover?
Some sellers offer Extra courier cover at checkout for Shipitall Delivery parcels. It is optional and always starts unticked. It costs what the courier charges for the cover, with nothing added by Shipitall, and the price shows before you tick it. It covers loss or damage in transit up to the declared value, under the courier's terms. Your refund rights are the same whether you take it or not: if the courier loses or damages your parcel, you are refunded.
My parcel arrived damaged. What do I do?
Tell us within 48 hours so we can claim from the courier. Your 6-month rights still apply. Open your order, choose "Return or report a problem", pick "It arrived damaged" and add photos of the item, the box and the label. Keep the box and packaging until the case is closed. You are refunded whether or not you took Extra courier cover.
My order is late. What can I do?
If a seller has not sent your order within 3 working days, you can cancel that part for a full refund from your order page. Or contact us below.
Is delivery ever free?
Some sellers deliver free when you spend a set amount with them in one order. Checkout shows how much more you need to spend with that seller. When delivery is free, the seller pays the courier.
Who pays if the courier charges more, or a parcel comes back?
If the courier charges more than quoted because the seller entered the wrong weight or size, the seller pays, never you. If an item is faulty, wrong or damaged, the seller pays the return postage. If you cancel in the first 7 days (cooling-off), your delivery fee is refunded. For other change-of-mind returns you pay the return postage and the delivery fee is not refunded.
Returns and refunds
Can I return something?
Yes. In the first 7 days after delivery you can cancel for any reason under your cooling-off right (section 44 of the ECTA): you get the item price and the delivery fee back, and pay only the return postage. After that you have 30 days to return an item you changed your mind about (the delivery fee is not refunded and you pay the return postage), and 6 months (183 days) if it is faulty, plus any extra warranty the seller gives. Start a return from your order page with "Return or report a problem".
How do I get my money back?
By EFT to your bank account, or as Shipitall store credit if you prefer. Store credit lasts 3 years and is used at checkout automatically.
What if the seller says no?
Shipitall looks at it. If the seller declines or does not answer within 48 hours, your return comes to our team, and we decide.
What is the 7-day cooling-off period?
Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act lets you cancel an online purchase for any reason within 7 days after delivery. You get the item price and the delivery fee back and pay only the cost of sending it back. A few items are excluded by law, such as goods made to your own specification.
Does the Shipitall Guarantee replace my rights?
No. The Shipitall Guarantee is extra cover from Shipitall, from R 2 000 to R 12 500 per seller, per order, depending on the seller. It never limits the refunds the seller or the law owes you.
Paying
How can I pay?
You pay once at checkout, securely through PayFast: card, Instant EFT, Capitec Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, SnapScan and Mobicred. Payflex (pay in 4) shows from R 1,000.
Do prices include VAT?
Yes, every price on Shipitall includes VAT where the seller charges it. Your invoice comes from the seller.
Pre-owned
What does the condition grade mean?
Sellers grade every used item and list any faults. Used items still get at least 6 months' warranty, and "sold as is" is not allowed on Shipitall.
Selling
How do I sell on Shipitall?
Apply on the Sell on Shipitall page. We check your ID and bank details, then you can list. There are no monthly fees. The fees and rules are in the Seller pack, which you can read once you sign in and start an application.
Should I offer Extra courier cover?
It is up to you. Buyers pay for it at the courier's cost and it always starts unticked. Pack every parcel to survive normal courier handling: damage from poor packing is not covered. Couriers exclude some goods (for example some exclude cellphones, laptops or second-hand goods). If a courier rejects a loss or damage claim because of poor packing, an excluded item or a late report, you carry the loss; if it was the courier's own fault, Shipitall carries it. If the courier bills more than quoted because the weight or size you entered was wrong, you pay the difference.
When do sellers get paid?
Payouts run every week by EFT. Money from an order is paid out once delivery is confirmed by the courier, the buyer or Shipitall staff. Early payouts (as soon as an order is paid) switch on after 10 deliveries confirmed by the courier or the buyer, to different buyers, each order R 200 or more; then you can withdraw up to R 5 000 in total from orders not yet delivered.
Shipitall Guarantee
What is the Shipitall Guarantee?
If the seller never sends your order, or what arrives is materially different from the listing (including fake goods), and the seller does not sort it out, Shipitall refunds you. Every order is covered, from R 2 000 to R 12 500 per seller, per order, depending on the seller. The Guarantee is extra cover from Shipitall on top of your legal rights: it never limits the refunds the seller or the law owes you.
How do I claim?
Open your order, find the seller's part and choose "Claim with the Shipitall Guarantee". Claim within 30 days of delivery, tell us what happened and add photos. The seller gets 3 working days to put it right, then Shipitall decides.
What is not covered?
Changing your mind or not liking the quality (use a normal return for that); parcels lost, damaged or stolen in transit (refunded through the courier claim or by the seller, outside the Guarantee); items collected in person; deals made outside Shipitall; software, licences, vouchers, gift cards and services; claims more than 30 days after delivery; and orders your bank already reversed with a chargeback.
